ESG Initiatives the At Eventrend Group

Operate Responsibly, in the long run create value

For us, operating responsibly is not a separate corporate program, but rather a system of everyday decisions. The Eventrend Group’s ESG efforts are based on three main areas: environmental responsibility, social responsibility, and responsible corporate governance. Our goal is to make sustainable operations a natural part of our day-to-day decisions.

As a group of companies operating in the hospitality, event planning, and hotel management sectors, we consider it particularly important that a positive guest experience be underpinned by operations that are sustainable in the long term, people-centered, and reliable.

Environmental Responsibility Social Responsibility Corporate Governance

What does it mean? For us, the ESG?

At Eventrend Group, ESG is not an abstract corporate concept, but a practical approach: how we manage our resources, how we support our colleagues and communities, and the decision-making frameworks within which we operate the group.

We focus particularly on three areas:

01. - Environmental – Environmental Responsibility

Waste reduction, composting, conscious purchasing, energy use, reducing plastic use, and more sustainable event solutions.

01

02. - Social – Social Responsibility

Employee well-being, training, support for young people, equal opportunity, community programs, and the preservation of cultural values.

02

03. - Governance – Responsible Corporate Governance

Ethical business practices, legal compliance, data protection, transparent decision-making, supplier relationships, and risk management.

Environmental accountability

In the area of environmental responsibility, our goal is to continuously reduce the environmental impact of our operations and to ensure that sustainable operations become a natural part of our professional practice across all our units. This approach is reflected not in a single grand gesture, but in many everyday decisions: in procurement, waste management, energy use, reducing plastic use, and event organization.

More sustainable operations at the at events and in the hospitality industry

Eventrend Group’s event venues, restaurants, and services cater to a wide variety of occasions, from small family gatherings to large-scale corporate events. That is why it is important to us that sustainable operations be viewed not as a special request, but increasingly as a natural part of our professional approach.

Procurement decisions, waste management processes, energy consumption, and material usage all contribute to making not only the quality of the experience but also the responsibility of our operations visible.

Social accountability

Our approach to corporate social responsibility is based on the belief that the true power of hospitality lies in human connections. That is why our social responsibility efforts focus on our colleagues, young people, communities, and those for whom a particular experience, encounter, or opportunity can mean a great deal.

Employee Well-Being and professional development

We create workplaces where physical and mental well-being are just as important as professional development. The Talent Academy provides the organizational framework for our training system, which supports leadership career development, self-awareness, and long-term professional growth. The program is available to hundreds of our colleagues each year and helps ensure that our employees not only perform their duties but also build their own professional paths more consciously.

Community and connection

A good workplace is not just a professional environment, but also a community. As part of our annual programs, we make our restaurants available to our colleagues and organize community initiatives that create opportunities for connection based on existing or newly discovered interests. These programs help foster genuine friendships, supportive communities, and more human working relationships. We are convinced that balanced, motivated employees have a direct impact on the quality of the guest experience.

Support for Young People and dual training

The future of the hospitality industry lies with young professionals. That is why we view vocational school students and interns not as workers, but as their future colleagues.

The number of students enrolled in dual training programs at our facilities exceeds 400. We place special emphasis on their development, integration, and professional advancement. We believe that theoretical knowledge and practical experience together create the solid foundation upon which a long-term career in the hospitality industry can be built.

Experience-based educational programs

Our social commitment extends beyond vocational training to the broader world of education. At our hospitality venues, we organize unique field trips for high school students that bring culture, history, and critical thinking to life through hands-on experiences.

The programs at the Centrál Café bring Hungarian literature and café culture to life in an interactive way. The Centrál also offers programs related to Nobel Prize-winning literature that foster a deeper understanding. At the Calavera restaurant, students can learn about Mexican culture and history through culinary experiences.

These programs are free for school classes, provide a community experience, and have generated a great deal of interest in a short period of time. We have already held more than 100 unconventional literature classes, and our goal is to continue expanding the range of available programs.

Equal Opportunity and reception

It is important to us that people with disabilities or from disadvantaged backgrounds can also experience the essence of our mission: moments of joy that last a lifetime. We consciously strive to create experiences for them through our services and programs that they would otherwise rarely or only with great difficulty be able to access.

We also collaborate with institutions that educate children with special educational needs, as well as with EGYMI partners. For them, we organize restaurant outings, stadium visits, locker room tours, and experiential programs. These events are not one-time gestures, but rather carefully cultivated relationships designed to create lasting, positive experiences.

Cooperation with the Lámpás ’92 Through a Foundation

Our key partner is the Lámpás ’92 Foundation, which works to promote the social integration of adults with disabilities. As part of our collaboration, we support the foundation’s programs through our events—with the involvement of our guests.

Our goal is to contribute to dignified living conditions, a sense of community, and the opportunity to lead a fuller, happier life. For us, the true value of hospitality is realized when it reaches those for whom it is not a given.

Cultural Preservation of Values

Gastronomy and culture intersect in many ways in the operations of the Eventrend Group. Our primary mission is to preserve our gastronomic and cultural heritage and to revitalize it in a contemporary and sustainable way.

We took on roles in this project at such iconic locations as the Gundel Restaurant, a Centrál Café, a Museum Café, a New York Café or the Central Market Hall. In these places, hospitality is not merely a service, but also a cultural experience: it embodies the past, the atmosphere, collective memory, and the modern guest experience all at once. We firmly believe that these venues will remain vibrant not by preserving them like museums, but by operating them as experiences that are usable, enjoyable, and accessible in the present.

Responsible corporate governance

Responsible corporate governance is one of the cornerstones of the Eventrend Group’s long-term operations. Transparent decision-making, ethical conduct, and transparent processes create a stable foundation for our partners, guests, and colleagues. The Eventrend Group aims to ensure that its operations are predictable, compliant, collaborative, and transparent for all stakeholders.

Ethical Operations and compliance

Our transparent corporate governance system and code of ethics are designed to ensure that responsible decisions are made at every level. In addition to legal compliance, we believe it is important that ethical conduct be reflected not only in documents but also in day-to-day decisions and partner relationships. Our Code of Ethics is a living framework that we continuously develop and update in line with our changing environment and operational experience.

Suppliers relationships

We build long-term partnerships with our strategic suppliers based on mutual trust and respect. These stable partnerships promote quality, reliability, and ethical operations throughout the entire value chain. In the hospitality industry, quality doesn’t begin at the table, but much earlier: in decision-making, procurement, preparation, and the professional collaborations that underpin our day-to-day operations.

Decision-Making and transparency

Our corporate culture is based on inclusion, teamwork, and development driven by feedback. We regularly measure and evaluate our employees’ commitment and satisfaction, identify areas for improvement, and then work step by step to enhance our operations.

The „My Workplace” Program For nearly a decade, it has been a key component of our management and HR activities. It helps ensure that feedback from colleagues does not remain isolated opinions, but rather serves as the foundation for improving the work environment.

Data Protection, digital security and risk management

Responsible corporate governance also includes data protection, digital security, and the conscious management of financial, legal, and reputational risks arising from our operations. These areas may be less visible, yet they are essential to ensuring that our guests, colleagues, and partners can engage with us through a secure and reliable system. We continuously integrate ESG considerations into our business processes and strive to make our performance increasingly measurable and transparent.

Responsible Operations, long-term hospitality mindset

For the Eventrend Group, ESG initiatives are not separate commitments, but rather the foundation of long-term hospitality operations. Environmental responsibility, social responsibility, and responsible corporate governance together create the stable professional foundation upon which sustainable operations and a positive guest experience are built.

Because behind truly memorable moments lie not only beautiful venues, great food, and carefully organized events, but also responsible decisions, thoughtful people, and a solid professional foundation.
